Planning for 2025 Semi-Quincentennial Events

Katie Luczai and Angela Olszewski from the Semi-Quincentennial Committee presented proposed plans for a historical reenactment event on April 20, 2025. This would coincide with Easter Sunday that year. They reviewed factors impacting the date choice, including availability of reenactors and avoiding conflicts with other towns’ events that weekend. There was discussion about whether to hold it that Sunday or consider a different date. The board was amenable to the April 20 date pending more detailed planning. They will do more outreach to impacted groups like churches.

Correspondence Received

The board received a request for new stop signs at the intersection of Sunset Road and Blossom Street. It was referred to the Town Manager for further review.

Scheduling of November Board Meeting

The board discussed potentially rescheduling the November 6 board meeting to November 8 to accommodate schedule conflicts. Staff will confirm if the new date works.
